In 2015 I visited Merlin’s Cave in Tintagel, England. I was struck by the beautiful wave-worn slate stones on the beach there, so I collected a few. Not knowing what I was going to do with them, they sat on my bench for about a year before I had the bright idea to use them in practicing my stone-on-stone setting technique and, voilà!
They were so popular I’m going back in the late summer of 2017 to get MORE of these beautiful, shimmery stones! This brilliant plan also ensures that I get my cardio and weight bearing exercises done. Here are some pictures of the thousands of stairs I have to descend, then climb with a bunch of stones on my back LOL!

So my brilliant plan is to con any gullible suckers in my group to collect and haul stones up from the beach with me in exchange for a free Merlin’s Stone Talisman necklace! Would you do it? I also want to create some killer altars, so I want some large ones, too!
Stay tuned. I’ll post pics of the crew and their hauls of Merlin Stones in a few weeks. Good thing I’ll be going there from 9,000 feet above sea level, ha ha! I’ll have many red blood cells to help me out of the hole!
